since i am just getting around to starting a blog i thought i would provide a recap of a few important things... namely hayden, who is just over 3 months old now.
hayden's arrival (well at least as i remember it, as of about a week after she was born):
the nurse had a hard time confirming that my water had broke so antibiotics weren't started until around 2pm when my doctor came and finally declared that yes my water had in fact broken. (duh... if it wasn't my water breaking, i was suddenly having really bad bladder problems)
so onto induction i went. at around 8pm july 20 i was only dialated to a 1! by 9am july 21 i was a whopping 2cm...i had planned on not having an epidural and go with the other pain meds. the first round worked pretty good and i could relax through the contractions. then i got fentinel (or whatever it is called) it sucked!!!
at about 4:30pm on july 21 i was at a 7 and got an epidural. yay!! finally some relief. i was a 9 1/2 by about 8:30 and was able to start pushing at 9:15pm.
hayden was born at 1:52am on july 22, 2007. she was 8lbs. 3oz and 20in.
she was really tired from her journey into the world and spent a few hours in the nicu. once her blood sugar was where it should be she joined robert and i in our room.
