home from the holidays

Hi all! We're home and getting settled back in.... it's amazing how much stuff you have to bring to accommodate a 5 month old (that's right, little miss is 5 months old already!!!) I am off until after new years so I will be up to my eyeballs in laundry and such.

I have a few more Christmas cards to send as I ran out of pics when I was rushing to get them done before we left for Discovery Bay. Once I finish getting them all out I will e-mail the people I don't have physical addresses for. I will post this year's photo compilation card once I have sent it to everyone so I don't spoil the surprise.

We started our Christmas by joining Uncle Alan and family at their company holiday party. Then a few days before we went out of town we scooted over to Bobby's parents where Hayden was delighted to get some great new toys that will help her learn and be pretty fun for her. I got a cool new attachment for my kitchen aid mixer, and Bobby got his Christmas m & m's. We didn't get a chance to go to Aunt Christine's before we left but we hope to visit soon to see Cousins Allyson and Ajay.

On Saturday we went to Discovery Bay by Port Angeles/Silverdale. Being new parents and not quite as organized as I would like to be we hadn't gotten around to getting Hayden's picture with Santa yet. We felt like we were running out of time but we managed to find a Santa at the Kitsap mall. Thank goodness! We only had to wait about an hour and Hayden was on her best behavior. Aunt Tammy and cousin Stephanie we're there to help out and we were fortunate to have them there.

Bobby was bummed out because it wasn't looking like he was going to be able to get a picture of all of us with Santa. We saw the people before us taking photos with their camera and asked one of Santa's helpers if we could take a few shots and she said that was fine, there was a sign in line asking you not too, trying to encourage people to buy the photos so they could ensure Santa could make it back year after year.

Just before we made it to Santa Hayden was eating her fingers as usual and I figured we would get a picture of her hand more so than her face. To my delight she sat very nicely and gave us a great big smile... couldn't have planned it better. When Bobby and I jumped in she began gnawing on her hand so the family shot shows a realistic picture of miss Hayden these days.

We got one of those cool frames for showcasing digital pics from Uncle Steve and Aunt Tammy surprised us with a photo frame with Hayden's feet imprinted in the clay.

I need to get going but thank you all for your love and friendship! Hope you all had a great Christmas and we look forward to seeing you all in 2008.
